I have always loved being crafty, and I was so excited to make all the little details for our wedding!

I saw these on Pinterest and wanted to DIY something similar

It was definitely one of the most time consuming projects, but in the end it was completely worth it!

Thanks to my Mom and Mother-in-law for all their help! :)

Supplies:

6 – 6″ White Paper Lanterns (PaperLanternStore.com)

Fabric – “Sew Classic Rib Knit” from Joann Fabric – In color of your choice (I used Blackberry) – 9.99/yard (use 40% coupon, found online)

^^You will need about 4 yards of fabric for this project^^

Acrylic Paint – to match your fabric color (I used 411 Purple by Folk Art)

Paint Brush or Foam brush

Fabric Scissors

Ribbon

Hot Glue gun/Glue sticks

1. Cut Fabric into 3.5×3.5inch squares

3. Paint lanterns

4. Glue pointed edge of fabric to lantern — in random order, without leaving any big gaps (painting your lantern will help camouflage any open areas)

They looked beautiful down our aisle!
